The Golden Palace
It's time to rejoice. It's time to dance. It's time to love. Lifetime (television for women) is bringing back The Golden Palace, starting TONIGHT at 6:30. Why is this interesting, you may ask... well, about a month ago I sat in a local pizza joint with Kevin, Shane, and Jeff discussing movies and such when the topic of The Golden Palace came up. While searching the IMDB I came across an unusual credit for Don Cheadle. When I checked it out I came to realize that Academy Award Nominee Don Cheadle had starred in an ill-fated, one season spinoff of The Golden Girls. That show is, The Golden Palace.
Now, here's the basic plot. Dorothy remarries and leaves the other three girls behind. They then decide to open up a fancy shmancy hotel called, you guessed it, The Golden Palace. "The trio run the place with a wacky cook (Cheech Marin) and a fussy hotel manager (Don Cheadle)."
