Word From the Steve Earle Camp!
Recent statements have been released regarding Chevrolet Trucks use of the would-have-been Steve Earle classic, "The Revolution Starts Now." Earle's manager, Dan Gillis, released the following statement: It's just a business decision we decided to make, and we went with it.
What!?
I have to say that I'm not just disappointed to hear that Steve Earle has sold out to the man, but I'm more upset with the trend that it has started. Artists everywhere, upon seeing Earle's success, have begun selling off song and name rights to the highest bidder in all genres of music. Just look at some of the shameful ads gracing our magazines and newspapers these days!

Even the deceased aren't exempt from this commercialization! In a related note, I hear that Bob Dylan is working on a song about Raid Bug Repellent, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young versions to come.

First, I'm thinking of getting a loan to buy one of them there Canons, cause they are the sweetness, no matter what that black man says one way or the other.
Second, what in hell are you talking about "deceased?" Surely you don't think that Bob is no longer with us. I'm just not sure what you are saying though, so, hell, I don't know.
And one more thing, what is this about (This blog does not allow anonymous comments.)? You got to let the people talk to you, man.
