October 18th, The dude abides.

We've got some good news on the dvd front. October will bring us a new, slightly less crappy edition of the Coen Brothers' "The Big Lebowski."

If you currently own The Big Lebowski on dvd, then surely you've noticed that the package is more than lacking in the special features department. This one really isn't going to be much better. It features an introduction by Mortimer Young, Jeff Bridges' Photography and the making of The Big Lebowski featurette.

You'd think that between the midnight showings and the bi-coastal "Lebowskifest" people would have realized that a jam-packed Lebowski dvd would be a real seller. Instead it's just more crap.

Oh, if you're smart you'll save your old dvd jacket. The artwork in this edition is just terrible.
