Give the guy a break!

As UK Basketball season begins in the Commonwealth, so begins open season on Tubby Smith. As those of you that know me are aware, I am a huge Tubby fan (even though he did cut line at the Bruce Springsteen show) and will, especially after a few beers, defend his honor to the death. Unfortunately there is a small to large (depending on the season) section of this community that considers the Tubster to be the transition coach from the Godlike Rick Pitino to the nearly Godlike Whomever Comesnext. Of course, that transition has encompassed 8 years, a National Championship and repeated SEC Tournament and regular season victories.

Anyway, I'm not going to get on my soapbox on this one, just wanted to share this article from today's Herald-Leader. Long live Tubby, and someone please forward this to Cody.
